Welcome Back!
It is that special time of year again! Soccer Time! Wayland AYSO is
starting up for our Fall 2010/Spring 2011 season!
If you have not heard from your child's coach, don't panic. It is a
very busy time of year for all our volunteers. Coaches have been given
their team rosters and will be contacting players just as soon as they
can.
Upcoming dates to remember:
First games are on Saturday September 11. Team schedules will be
handed out by coaches and is also available here.
Picture Day is Saturday September 18th.
We are still trying to work out a date for AYSO Night with our
Wildcat Varsity Soccer Team. As soon as we get a date set, we will let
you know.
Thank you to all the volunteers who have stepped up as coaches,
assistants, referees and board members for this season! Without you,
Wayland AYSO would not be a success!
We can still use more volunteers to help us continue to make Wayland
AYSO a great program for our kids!
When you see a volunteer, thank them for their time!
We had a great turnout for the coaches trainings this season.
Representatives from all across our area turned out to further their
knowledge of the game so they can pass it on to the kids who make it all
worthwhile.
Special thanks to Ed Hedgecock, Wayland Coach Administrator, Area 8b
Coach Instructor, for all the time, patience and laughs! Who new
coaching could be so much fun!
Congratulations to our 2009/2010 Wayland Boys U10 team! They came in
second at this past summers KASI Tournament. They went into the final
round undefeated and lost a rousing match 0-2. Way to go boys! We are
proud of you!

We are in need of a Regional Referee Administrator. The Region
Referee Administrator supports the AYSO National Referee Program, makes
sure all referees are trained, certified and properly registered, and
schedules assignments for referees and assistant referees within the
Region. You do not need to be a referee to hold this position, but a
knowledge of the referee position is helpful. We offer the training
needed to make you a successful part of our team.
